Abseil down the Europa Hotel for cats in need

21 August 2018

There are only five spaces left so Cats Protection is inviting thrill seekers to sign up now to take part in a sponsored abseil down the iconic Europa Hotel on Sunday 14 October 2018 to raise money for unwanted felines.

The Belfast Adoption Centre is asking people to abseil 167ft down the Europa Hotel, Belfast and raise vital funds to help all the cats and kittens urgently seeking new homes.

Spectacular views are guaranteed from the top of the historic Belfast building and families and friends are welcome to watch from across the road.

“This is the second time that the charity has signed up for this event, and we are asking fundraisers to register to take part – the abseil is sure to make for a very memorable day,” said Bel Livingstone, Belfast Adoption Centre Manager. “Raising funds for our Adoption Centre will make a difference, not just for a day, but to the entire lives of unwanted cats and kittens. We hope to raise as many funds as possible and will be cheering on the intrepid participants on the day!”

Those registering with the charity to take part in the abseil will be provided with a fundraising pack, including sponsor forms, fundraising tips and much more. Participants must be at least 14 years old and weigh less than 114kg (18 stone). They will have to complete a medical form and undergo training on the day by experts from Belfast Activity Centre.
